1. GOALS
• To gather and make available all information regarding any
sites that display paranormal activity or supernatural tendencies
(i.e., hauntings, the presence of orbs, mist, ectoplasm, or
vortexes, etc.)
• To build an unprecedented database of facts and share all
gathered information with any interested
researchers/investigators who wish to use such knowledge to
enhance their own projects and reports
• To engage in serious debate regarding new investigation
methods, technology, and theories, and invite others to become
involved by offering membership in the organization
• To educate veteran and beginner paranormal
investigators/ghosthunters in the field of supernatural research,
including how to be the consummate professional
• To offer lectures/presentations/audience-participation hunts for
rookie investigators and those with passion for the paranormal
field in order to educate individuals who may not know where to
begin
• To serve the community as a consumer watchdog group to
ensure that paranormal teams are not taking unfair advantage of
the uneducated or naïve. As a group we will police ourselves
and others in the field to minimize the chances for fraud
organizations to exploit the general public
2. BY-LAWS
◊ Every three months, SRA founders will plan and organize a
“Paranormal Summit” where all interested members will have the
opportunity to attend and participate in various discussions
regarding all manner of supernatural research. SRA founders
will draw up an agenda for each Summit meeting and this will be
posted on the SRA site in advance so that members can decide
whether they wish to attend. Summits may take place in
restaurants, diners, meeting halls, homes, back yards, etc.,
depending upon availability of locale. These Summits will be
used to discuss, debate and make important decisions regarding
the by-laws of the organization, future goals and research,
upcoming investigations, and all other pertinent information
about Team SRA.*
◊ SRA Member Organizations will always make an effort to be
available to answer questions, provide guidance, or demonstrate
proper protocol in regards to new or established members who
require answers. If an SRA member needs assistance, other
members should make themselves available to help. To offer all
resources we have to members.
◊ SRA Member Organizations will provide investigations for
interested parties at no charge (NOTE: If you promise an
investigation (residential or otherwise) you will be expected to
follow through with your affirmation. If extenuating circumstances
force you to cancel such an investigation, you must either re-
schedule or attempt to find a replacement member organization
to provide the service in your stead. Always provide an
alternative date/organization . . . please ensure that the client is
kept “in the loop” at all times.) Please be courteous and
professional.
◊ SRA Founders will vote on all member organization candidate
applications. The Founders have the final say on all votes for
membership (majority rule). All new members will be expected to
uphold the by-laws of the SRA. As membership grows and
member organizations become more active in SRA events, voting
capacity will be granted to those who display dedication to the
cause.
◊ No membership dues will be collected at any time. As more
organizations join the SRA, this may change, but not without
proper notice.
◊ At any time, member organizations may post
events/lectures/presentations/ hunts/tours on the SRA website
by notifying Mandi Lee of NWCPS (coolmandy24@netscape.
net). She is the webmaster for the site and manages all
changes. In addition, member organizations are encouraged to
present classes in all the various research and investigation
techniques to benefit other members of Team SRA.
◊ Awards will be handed out on a quarterly basis to member
organizations and/or individual members for a variety of criteria
(list to be announced). Awards will take various forms and will be
meant to spotlight the member organization or individual for their
special achievements and also used as incentive to strive for
higher goals.
◊ Members will be expected to reveal any information to the SRA
regarding instances of fraud, deception, or exploitation of the
client, whether or not the offending individual(s) are part of Team
SRA. Our hope is that this type of activity will be non-existent
within the organization and that we may prevent others from
falling into the trap of deception. Our greatest weapon is the
sharing of information. Team SRA will always stand by its
member organizations, with the exception being that any
member has broken our strict rules.
* Timeline for Summits is tentative
